As summer has set it’s foot in the season of florals, pastels and flowy dresses have got us all excited. With the change in season there definitely needs to be a change in our makeup too, don’t you think? Of course! To help us get that perfect sun kissed look which we’d love to flaunt at the beach or at our next pool party, Lekha Gupta comes to our rescue. She is a celebrity makeup artist having worked with the big-wigs of Bollywood who will help us achieve an Alia Bhatt inspired dewy makeup.
Lekha starts demonstrating the look on Riya highlighting her best features. She starts off with hydrating her skin with natural rose gold oil. For the ideal look she uses a tad bit darker foundation than the actual skin tone. The ideal sun-kissed look is soft and subtle and thus she advises to not use any straight lines to define or sharpen your face. Not using powder to set it in will help make your face look more hydrated. Using earthy shades such as gold, beige, copper, she uses the brick brown colour to accentuate her eyes and not make her face look washed out. She uses powder to contour the face and adds lots of mascara to make her eyes stand out and look bright. She asks to use various shades of highlight to have the right amount of shine. Use of highlighter on your upper cheeks, T-zone will make your features stand out where the light shines the most. Going nude for the lips will make the whole look, look subtle yet elegant as poppy colours won’t match the overall look.
