LFW Runway Report: SVA and Amoh, extravagant lehengas with plunging neckline blouse & cape sleeved details
On day 3 of Lakme Fashion Week, the extravagant Lehenga with plunging neckline blouse and cape sleeved detail looked ravishing on the runway. Peplum jacket teamed with well-tailored tulip pants were stunning. An asymmetrical top with an embroidered border paired with palazzos depicted modernism with a hint of elegance. Nimrat Kaur, made a glamorous entry in an ornate, gold, embroidered, wine, coloured Lehenga with an angular draped choli flaunting a long trail. Showcasing intricate and unique weaves, colours and craftsmanship; the collection revolved around vibrant summer hues like eye-catching coral, dramatic crimson, rose-gold, ivory and tangerine. Swara Bhaskar ended the grand show in a metallic silver cowled midi covered with an enticing long lace cover.
The collection “Noor” by Sonam and Paras Modi for their label ‘SVA’ was inspired by the celebrated dancer, Noor, whose beauty was renowned during the British Raj era.
Bringing the glitz and glamour of the nautch girls and combining it with the sophistication of the British Raj, the ‘SVA’ label presented a medley of gorgeous garments. Such grace and glory in ensembles could only be highlighted in regal colours like a burnt rose, shadow grey, lint, green tea and burl wood.

‘Amoh by Jade’
‘Amoh by Jade’ the luxury prét label by Monica Shah and Karishma Swali presented their signature style at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2017. The designs included Structured corsets with complex handwork and off-shoulder detailing on coral flowing skirts appeared. Rose gold Lehenga on a classic ivory blouse was an unseen combination that was stylishly paired with a ruby cape. Showcasing intricate and unique weaves, colours and craftsmanship; the collection revolved around vibrant summer hues like eye-catching coral, dramatic crimson, rose-gold, ivory and tangerine.
