The Pinkvilla fashion review: Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is a visual delight for people who love fashion. They say Bollywood is the biggest fashion influence and ADHM shows us why!

 

Anushka Sharma

Anushka's style is in true sense contemporary, she is seen wearing tones of black. Since she is from Lucknow, she is wearing a lot of chikan karri kurtas. We love how her look has a very boho-chic vibe. She has seamlessly styled her fringe bags and silver oxidized jewelry and it blended beautifully well with her western looks.

From the sequin tops and leather jackets, with ripped jeans and ankle length boots to long line kurtas, worn over ripped jeans looks very cool and is something all the desi girls should experiment and try wearing some of the styles worn by her. Some of the looks and trends we love that her character sported are ankle-length velvet leggings, a kurta tied up on the side with a patchwork jacket and her red break up song kurta that has tassels on the hem of the sleeves.

Anushka's wedding looks are also very good! The shirt blouse-lehenga  and the black and cream sharara is GORGEOUS! 

Her nude and red Manish Malhotra Lengha that weighed 17 kilos is stunning and so is the jewelry.

Ranbir's Look

We love how Ranbir's look evolves as his character matures, from really cool joggers with T-shirts worn with, jackets and hoodies along with kick ass sneakers

 to the later half of the movie, where he has a rockstar grunge look. He is seen wearing long shirts with jackets, coats, and scarves. 

Ranbir Kapoor's Sabyasachi sherwani that he donned in the song Channa Mireya was mesmerizing!  

Aishwarya 

Aishwarya looked stunning in the movie and it is hard to keep eyes off her! She wore basic ripped jeans with t-shirts and fancy overcoats that had elaborate prints and fur and it looked marvelous! There was not much print used and her character stuck to solid colors.

There are 2 particular looks of Aishwarya that we love, one is black sequin dress, she wore to the club and other being the sequin gown! There always some bling in her look be it her dress or her Chanel tote'.

Hair and makeup 

Both Aishwarya and Anushka wore polished waves for hair, which is a big trend this season! Anushka is seen sporting really cool hairdos, especially the braids in her hair she made in the breakup song.

Anushka wore dark kohled smokey and reverse smokey eyes! 

Ash has  deep-socketed eyes and those were accentuated with deeper tones of shadow and lots of mascara. She wore bold lips colors like red and coral as her character demanded to look glam.

Trends to pick up from this movie 

Anushka's ripped jeans paired with long high slit kurtas is something that all the young girls should try! 

Layering is a key trend in the movie. If you are looking to update your winter wardrobe, ADHM serves as a perfect inspiration! Ranbir's sneakers and his casual looks are something everyone should watch out for
