Runway Report: Payal Singhal and Priyadarshini Rao at LFW 2016
PAYAL SINGHAL
If you are a single woman then Payal Singhals collection will make you want to get married only so you can wear the stunning outfits she showcased at the Lakmé fashion week Autumn winter 2016 ramp.
The line had contemporary yet timeless and elegant garmets. Clean minimalistic cuts in fabrics such as silk, raw silk and Mul were used by the designer.
The silhouettes were a perfect mix of Morden and Indian designs with off shoulder choli lenghas, cold shoulder kurtas, scalloped hemlines and low crotched pants paired with Anarkali Kurtas.
The colours used were sand, dusk blue, pale pink, grey and black!

PRIYADARSHINI RAO
Inspired by Sashiko a Japanese embroidery technique, Priyadarshini used patches also known as quilts in her garments. The designs used were Sahiko prints, indigo dye and patch work. The fabrics used were cotton voile, Khasi, linen and satin.
The shapes paid homage to Kimonos and the wrap dress! The collection had a mixture of quirky hemlines. Monotone embroidery, quilting and dip dye were the highlight of her collection.
