Yay or Nay : Kalki Koechlin in Nikhil Thampi
Kalki Koechlin was in London tonight for the premiere of her new film 'Margarita with a Straw'.
The pretty actress once again opted for a Nikhil Thampi design. Her coral pant suit with a slit sleeve detail and waist cut out was a version of the suit that Nikhil presented in his Spring Resort collection.
Kalki styled her look with strappy sandals, an envelope clutch, an Amrapali haath phool and side swept hair.
I really really wanna love this look. But I can't. For me, the execution of the look didn't come through. I don't like how the color or the fabric photographs. And I'm pretty sure it looked nicer in person. Also because the color was so similar to her natural skin tone, you can't really see or appreciate the waist cut out detail.
Also why the envelope clutch? It was too day time for a red carpet look.
Much prefer the Nikhil Thampi look that she wore to MAMI a few days ago.
