Style File : PM Narendra Modi's Style : Politically correct or not?

We talk about our Bollywood actors and their style all the time, but today it is Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself that has fallen under our fashion radar... well... for all the right reasons.

Browsing through the pictures of his recent US visit made us stand up and take notice of his polished outfits. Be it a simple Kurta & bundi look or a bandhgala, he ticked off all the right boxes on our fashion list.

Like all other politicians, we expect him to dress in Indian weaves in beiges and whites and warm colors. And he did. But he embraces color too. Cool, right? You can see him wear a bright yellow kurta, orange or a mint one once in a while. Don't we just love a man who likes a little color in his wardrobe?

Talking about Indian weaves, Modi Ji sure loves his Bundi looks. And these are probably my favorite looks of him. Love how he layered his kurta and bundi looks in these earthy warm colors. Mixing and matching greys, beiges and browns, he gave us crisp and clean looks that we much appreciate.

In contrast to his traditional looks, our very honorable Prime Minister sure knows how to turn up for formal events too. He usually prefers to stick with bandhgalas. So while he travels and meet other important dignitaries around the world, he is well dressed in his bandhgalas ranging from black to burgundy in color.

Like I have earlier mentioned in the post that Modi Ji doesn't shy away from wearing colors. He has bundi made for himself in bold blue, eye catching red and soft coral. Talk about a pop of color, right? He loves his pastels too. I'm in love with the green kurta with the coral bundi look. How cool, no?

We are clearly in favour of Narendra Modi's political style. What are your thoughts. Is he fashionably politically correct or not?

P.S. A reader sent us this photo of Modi ji wearing a pale pink kurta set that we just had to add. :)
