Style File : 3 Style lessons to learn from Shraddha Kapoor
'Ek Villian' finally hit the cinemas this past Friday and that means we won't be seeing anymore Shraddha Kapoor promotional looks for a while. So it was time to look back at what all she wore during this promotional tour and see if we can learn a thing or two from her style file.
There were a lot of looks and we finally zeroed in on these three lessons. Read on :)
1. Ditch Bodycon, Go Boho
When Shraddha started promoting this film, we saw her do a lot of Boho looks - which included loose tops, palazzos, drape-y dresses/skirts and dhoti pants. It was all about easy chic and laid back. At a time where everyone is going all out to show off their bodies, Shraddha took a different route and gave us easy boho chic.
The trick to do Boho right is to opt for only one drape-y piece. So if you are doing voluminous dhoti pants, then go for a structured top or a denim jacket like Shraddha. Contrarily, if you are doing a long flowy top (second pic in the collage below), then team it up with skinny cropped pants. You want to look chic not homeless. (:P)
2. Be a lady!
After the Boho phase, we saw Shraddha do a lot of pencil skirt looks, which is again a huge trend right now. Fitted pencil skirts are perfect to show off your body in an elegant covered up way. Also, Shraddha made it a point to team up her skirts with long sleeved blouses to perfect that lady like elegance.
3. Back to basics!
Shraddha also solidified the fact that you can always trust on a pair of good denims to make you look good. Add a sequin top or a bright colored blazer and you are good to go. A little sparkle never hurt anyone, right?
