Lace Race !
Sophie Choudary once again wore her favorite lace saree, to the wedding reception of Ganesh Hegde recently. Yes, Sophie had worn the same sari a couple of years ago, to the wedding bash of Amrita Arora. The only difference was in the style of draping, and the accessories.
Wait, Sophie's lace race has just begun. In the above race, she is her own contender. Sophie is quite a fan of "lacy " clothes, I guess. Take a look at the rest of her lacy appearances and her respective contenders.
Katrina Kaif wore a beautiful pink lace saree to Amrita Arora's wedding bash. Sophie too looked pretty in her pink lace sari at an IIFA event in 2009.
Sophie shimmers in a gold lace sari at the Gold Expressions event; while Lara looked divine in a gold lace sari and emerald jewellery at IIFA 2009.
Filmfare awards 2010 saw Sophie in a red hot lace sari. Rani Mukherjee runs this easy race against her in a red sari with lace detailing, at a Titan Raga event.
For the final race, we have a sari with lace pattern and a twist. The modernized black and red sari by Manav Gangwani was chosen by Sophie at the Apsara awards 2011; where as a modernized black sari with lace blouse by Gaurav Gupta was chosen by Dia Mirza at the Filmfare awards 2011.
So, who all make it to the winning post, in these lace races? Is Sophie the "lacy lady" for you? Which is her best lacy appearance?
@anchal.arya - I think black lace saree has almost become a thing of the past. I guess the saree that u mentioned as worn by Aishwarya recently, was the one at Paa premeire. Here is that one, and more.. But I dont think these are purely lace sarees as such; they are black sheer saris with some lace patterns or other detailing on them, which almost make them pass off as lace sarees.
Now the ones shown below, worn by a much younger Aishwarya, Kareena, Priyanka, Koena, Hema Malini, Sridevi and Sonakshi are actually lace sarees! :)
