Fashion Spotlight : Sushmita Sen is designer Nikhil Thampi's 'Untamed Bride'
Making a strong comeback to the world of editorial fashion, Sushmita Sen is fearless and fabulous as Nikhil Thampi's 'Untamed Bride' for Harper's Bazaar Bride magazine.
The ex Miss Universe turned Bollywood actress shot for the 'Designer and the muse' editorial for the magazine recently with Nikhil Thampi.
The shoot was conceptualized by Nikhil and he wanted someone strong, bold and modern for the shoot and who better than Sushmita.
Says Nikhil in an excerpt from the magazine interview, “She was an absolute delight to work with – so warm, encouraging and her vivacious energy is infectious. In fact, I was intimidated sharing the limelight with her but she made me feel completely at ease and would just light up as soon as the cameras started clicking. My singular thought in dressing her was for Sushmita Sen, the glamazon to over shadow Sushmita Sen, the actor and I think she did exactly that!”
Nikhil used pieces from his previous collection in shades of ivory and gold to give us a visually appealing photospread, that included a liquid gold draped saree with his signature obi belt, coin embellished jacket with dhoti pants and a waist cut out gown with gold skinny pants.
