Fashion Police : Who wore what at the Filmfare Awards (South) 2015

The 2015 edition of the Filmfare Awards (South) 2015 was held this past weekend with the who's who of the South film industry in presence.

Lets a breakdown on who wore what!

1. Shruti Haasan in Abu Jani - Sandeep Khosla

Shruti did a bold look on the red carpet in a Abu - Sandeep ensemble. She paired her risque bralet top with a sequined patterned skirt. I commend the risk she took, but I'm not in love with the outfit itself. Wish the skirt was in a different color and the bralet a little better fitted.

2. Lakshmi Manchu in Shatanu and Nikhil

Lakshmi Manchu kept things simple in a nude draped Shantanu and Nikhil gown. And I'm afraid to say that she kept the things a little too simple. The look needed some color or bling. Plus its not the most flattering gown on her either. She finished her look out with an updo and statement earrings.

3. Tamannaah in Nikhil Thampi

Tamannaah shined bright on the red carpet in a custom gown by Nikhil Thampi that she styled with Suhani Pittie jewellery and smokey eyes.

4. Shriya Saran in Monisha Jaising

It was a teal conceptual saree by designer Monisha Jaising for Shriya Saran, which she styled with an updo and a Chanel clutch. I really like the look on her. The saree with the embellished caplet... she made it work!

5. Regina Cassandra in Shantanu and Nikhil

Also in Shantanu and Nikhil was the lovely Regina Cassandra. She wore a strapless gold and pink princess gown with matching clutch and earrings. She looked good, but the gown was a little too princess-y for me.

6. Parul Yadav in Rocky S

Parul Yadav stood tall in her voluminous draped Rocky S one shoulder gown that she styled with smokey eyes and a quiff ponytail.

7. Catherine Tresa in Ehsan Chamoun

Catherine Tresa chose to wear a powder blue strapless ruched gown by Ehsan Chamoun with no jewellery and an updo.

8. Rakulpreet in Gauri and Nainika

Rakulpreet wore a beautiful brown gown by Gauri and Nainika that she styled with dangling gold earrings and side swept soft curls. I really like the unexpected color on her.

9. Poonam Kaur in Nikhil Thampi

Poonam Kaur wore a toga dress by Nikhil Thampi that had his signature rose gold embellishments on the shoulder. Love the matching lip.

10. Manasvi Mamgai in Swapnil Shinde

Model turned actress Manasvi wore a beaded Swapnil Shinde gown. I love the gown and the hair and the make up. But that silver clutch???? I mean why???

11. Kajal Aggarwal in Surya Sarkar

Actress Kajal Aggarwal wore a white Surya Sarkar gown with laser cut and a key hole detail. While I don't mind the gown on her, the necklace brought the whole look down. It looked one of those cases where they are made and paid to wear necklaces because they are at a jewellery store launch event.

12. Kriti Kharbanda in Payal Singhal

Kriti Kharbanda wore a white and gold Payal Singhal gown with her hair in a soft romantic updo.

13. Pooja Hegde in Paolo Sebastian

Newbie Pooja Hegde, who will be seen opposite Hrithik Roshan in 'Mohenjo Daro', wore a gorgeous fitted one shoulder embellished gown by Paolo Sebastian's 2012 collection. An updo and jewellery by Gehna rounded her look out.
