AMAs 2019: Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Camila Cabello and best and worst dressed celebrities on the red carpet

It was the night of nights as the who's who of the Hollywood music industry made their way to the American Music Awards 2019. Celebrities walked the red carpet dressed in their best outfits and made some of the most noteworthy looks and the ultimate fashion statements in them. From Selena Gomez to Taylor Swift to Camila Cabello, Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish and more gave us some looks we can't wait to recreate and take inspiration from this party season.
Check out all the best and worst dressed celebrities of the evening!

Taylor Swift
the songstress picked out a shimmery emerald green dress by Julien Macdonald. It featured dual noodle-straps, a short skirt and an attached long drape around, showing off her right leg and thigh-high black boots she sported under. Diamond black shimmery earrings were her only accessory for the outfit.
Her hair was pinned half-up and blow dried to perfection for the event. Taylor's iconic cat eyes with loads of mascara, matte peach lips and a flawless base.

Selena Gomez
In a lime green dress, the singer ensured all eyes were on her! The tight-fitted fluorescent green dress was a treat on its own and Selena added more to it by pairing it with matching green pumps. The dress bore a wrapped silhouette with the excess cloth creating ruffles on its side. She paired this with matching shoes and layered diamond neckpieces while her hair was styled into an inward bob.

Camila Cabello
The 22-year-old singer performed twice at the event but walked the red carpet in a stunning yet simple Oscar de da Renta dress which was in a neutral palette. The strapless number featured a sweetheart neckline and intricate embroidery on it. The dress also featured a long train at the back and she paired this with glittery gold open toe stilettos by Jimmy Choo. Her hair was styled into a long intricate french braid. Her makeup was kept simple with basic highlighter, winged liner and peachy lips.

Heidi Klum
Showing off loads of skin on the red carpet, Klum picked out a mini dress with loads of feathers on the skirt. A silver top with a deep plunging neckline which showed off her cleavage made for one of the worst looks of the night. The dress bore three different colours and didn't flatter her at all!

Constance Wu
The actress who is otherwise known for her phenomenal looks picked out a neutral tone dress which featured a plunging neckline and a lace running through the centre, let us down with this look. Her skirt featured a ruffle hem and her hair was pulled up into two twisted knots. Constance's makeup was also unflattering and didn't do justice to her.

Christina Aguilera
In an unconvential outfit, Christina's choice of the night was a pristine white Jean Paul Gaultier dress with pearl embellishments. It came with additional external shoulder pads, a hood and a thick white belt. A layered pearl neckpiece and white platform boots completed her look, totally disappointing us.

Jenna Dewan
Keeping it simple, Jenna picked out a peachy floor-length dress with no work on it. It flattered her silhouette while her hair and makeup were perfectly in place, ensuring she looked simple yet glamorous for the evening.

Carrie Underwood
Looking red carpet worthy in an unconventional colour, the singer picked out a shimmery purple gown. It featured one strap and a cape on the other shoulder. The dress also came with a thigh-high slit and a long train that ensured she sizzled on the red carpet and all eyes were on the singer who took home an award. We only wish she picked out other shoes for the event as these didn't match at all!

Billie Eilish
Known for her love for tracksuits, Eilish picked out a piece by Burberry for the red carpet. She accessorised her look with a bedazzled face mask and matching gloves. Though we aren't too fond of this look, we think the singer's look was edgy and something only she could pull off!

Dua Lipa
In a bright hot pink number the singer picked out a strapless satin dress that accentuated her lean figure. It also featured a black bow at her waist to give it a break from the monotony of the same shade. A high ponytail ensured she looked edgy while a statement emerald neckpiece and diamond bracelets completed her look, making her one of the best dressed of the evening.

Halsey
The singer made quite a statement in a floral ruffle number by Marc Jacobs. The off-shoulder number came with loads of ruffles that began at her neck, ran through the centre and ended at the hem of her dress. A look we aren't too fond of!

Lizzo
Lizzo made one of the biggest statements on the red carpet in Valentino as she carried with her the smallest ever bag. While she looked fabulous in the tangerine ruffle number, all eyes were on the micro bag that could barely fit even an airpod!

Shawn Mendes
The Senorita singer who took home an award with Camila Cabello, looked dapper as ever in a purple suit with an emerald green collar. In total Mendes style, he didn't wear a shirt beneath the blazer and accessorised with silver stacked up neckpieces. Black leather shoes completed his look.
