Here are the best and worst dressed from Day1 of Cannes 2017!
One of the most anticipated film galas and cinema galore of the year is ought to be the Cannes Film Festival. This highly-anticipated event-Cannes 2017, marks it's 70th anniversary this year.
It’s the only been a day of the Cannes Film Festival, but the glam-levels are already off the charts. France’s most prestigious festival drew in our favourite stars like Jessica Chastain, Julianne Moore and Deepika Padukone. Keep reading to see the best and worst dressed from day one.
BEST DRESSED:
1. Deepika Padukone
Her red carpet look was a marsala hued tulle gown by Marchesa from their Fall 2017 collection. The one shoulder gown with an embellished bodice looked stunning on her. The sheer fabric gave us an opportunity to appreciate her toned frame and added a hint of sexy to the otherwise whimsical gown.
A matching lip colour and casually tousled hair rounded her look out.

1. Monica Bellucci attended the Mistress of Ceremonies photocall
Monica Bellucci attended the Mistress of Ceremonies photocall. Skipping the customary dress or gown, Monica Bellucci wore a Stella Mccartney jumpsuit and paired it with jewellery by Cartier. She added Sunglasses by Ralph Lauren and shoes by Giuseppe Zanotti.

2. Jessica Chastain in Roksanda at the jury photocall.
Here is another jumpsuit that makes it our best-dressed list! This structured red Roksanda jumpsuit, with bell sleeves and a bow detail, was structured and flattering.

3. Uma Thurman in Atelier Versace at “Isamel’s Ghosts” premiere
Uma Thurman wore a beautiful light pink gown by Atelier Versace. The subtle off-the-shoulder, satin lining and daimond necklace gave it a rich look.

4. Bella Hadid in Alexandre Vauthier at the “Ismael’s Ghosts” premiere.
Bella Hadid always manages to slay the red carpet. It is no surprise that she took the red carpet by storm again in this Alexandre Vauthier number.

5. Julianne Moore in Givenchy at the “Ismael’s Ghosts” premiere.
Julianne Moore looked elegant and modish on the red carpet in this red high-neck gown. The intricate details on the gown are to die for.

6. Sara Sampaio in Zuhair Murad at the “Isamel’s Ghosts” premiere.
Here is another red look, making it to our best-dressed list. Looking like a princess in red Julianne Moore wore a grand and elegant Givenchy gown at the Cannes 2017 red carpet.

WORST DRESSED:
1. Marion Cotillard in Y/Project at “Ismael’s Ghosts” photocall
Looking shabby and anything but chic, Marion Cotillard wore an oversized Y/Project top with layered jeans at the “Ismael’s Ghosts” photocall.

2. Emily Ratajkowski in Twinset at the “Ismal’s Ghosts” premiere
Emily Ratajkowski has a fab body but this silk, satin Twinset gown was way too basic and anything but flattering on her.

3. Elle Fanning in Vivienne Westwood at “Ismael’s Ghosts” premiere
Elle Fanning walked down the red carpet in a white Vivienne Westwood gown, while the front was okay-ish, the back and trail were a total disaster.

4. Hailey Baldwin in Twinset at the “Ismael’s Ghosts” premiere.
As Hailey Baldwin posted pictures of herself on Instagram we liked the look. However, as it was photographed on the red carpet it did not quite photograph well. The broad waistband under the bustline and the peplum hem detail around the waist ruined the beautiful colour and flow of the gown.

5. Naomi Harris in Gucci at the “Ismael’s Ghosts” premiere.
It hurts me to say this, but Naomi Harris looked like ice-cream in this all pastel-hued, multi-coloured, tulle Gucci gown. The necklace too did nothing for the look. Hence, making it to our worst dressed list.

6. Lily Rose Depp wearing Chanel at the “Ismael’s Ghosts” premiere.
This young fashionista failed to impress us, this time around as she wore a greek-inspired Chanel dress, that had waist cut-outs and a golden belt detail.
