Sometimes I'm not washing my face, I don't brush my hair for a few days: Gigi Hadid on post pregnancy skincare
The American supermodel landed her first solo Vogue US cover and she took to the magazine's Youtube handle to share her beauty secrets and how she manages her skin. She also revealed some of the beauty switches she made during her pregnancy. Read on to find out!
The American supermodel delivered her baby, Khair a few months ago. The diva gave us a peek at her belly and continued to remain partially active on social media through her pregnancy. She played Covergirl for Vogue this month and also shared her skincare and beauty secrets with the magazine.
Gigi started off by revealing that while she was pregnant, she made the switch to clean products and more natural ones during the summer. Now, for her winter routine, the model reveals that she uses a thicker moisturiser for her skin, which is always dry!
While most people would believe that Gigi is all about luxury and expensive makeup products, the model reveals otherwise! "I don't always think that you've to pay a lot for that, Gigi said about wanting to only use good products on her face.
Gigi also said that while she didn't have major issues with her skin, it was during fashion week that her skin got most irritated because makeup was needed all-day everyday. "Multiple hands, they take the same makeup brush all the way down the line on 30 girls so it touches a lot of faces," which cause spots around her chin and nose.
The model also added that she doesn't have a facialist and likes to create her looks on her own. Toothpaste is something Gigi uses to dry out spots on her face - a tip her mother Yolanda Hadid passed down to her!

A hack that Gigi follows, is to dab on lip balm on her eyebrows which enables the eyebrow product or pencil to run smoother on it!
During pregnancy, the one thing that changed in Gigi's skin was the pigmentation. Darkness around her eye became more prominent during her pregnancy and she let it happen. "It's natural and I knew it was going to go away," she said adding that it was part of her process.
For her makeup, she dabs a bit of primer and foundation all over her face and applies it with her hands, to mix it into her skin well. A dab of concealer beneath her eyes is what's next for Hadid. A brow pencil enhances her eyebrows further, followed by a brow wax. A dab of powder all over her face sets the makeup in place. Topped off with some contouring powder and then bronzer, and a dab of highlighter on the tip of her nose.
Then, eyeshadow followed by which she curls her lashes and applies blush on her cheeks followed by a second coat of mascara. A coat of lipstick topped off with gloss and Gigi's look is done!
Before concluding, the model reiterates that she's a four-month-old mom and doesn't look like this every day. "Sometimes I go a week without touching makeup!" Gigi also believes that it is important for moms to take care of themselves. "Sometimes I'm not washing my face these days, I don't brush my hair for a few days," she smiles.
