The festive season is full of fun and all the amazing festivities but there's another thing that it gets along with all this and that is stress. Stress and pollution aren't good for the skin and on top of that we love getting all dolled up during the festive season and as much fun that is, it does take a toll on us. All the stress and pollution and makeup and the numerous other products that we use on our skin during the festive season takes a toll on it. The festive season is not the best time for our skin and if you haven't taken care of your skin before and during the festive season, you may want to do it now. Now would be a great time to allow your skin some space and pamper it. Your skin needs a good deep cleansing to clear all the dirt and impurities and all the product buildup that might harm your skin if not removed. We understand cleansing but most people don't understand deep cleansing very well.

 

Here are some tips to deep cleanse your face post the festive season

1. The first thing your skin needs is a break. Give your skin a break from all the stress and makeup. Get some rest and avoid makeup for a few days. This allows your skin to breathe and stray free from chemical-based products for a few days.

2. Swap your chemical-based skincare products for organic products and home remedies till your skin gets rejuvenated. Keeping chemicals away from your skin is a good thing in the long run but for now, just give your skin a break from chemicals.

3. Use a charcoal face wash to cleanse your skin. You can make it at home or buy one from a local store. A charcoal face wash helps detox your skin with its deep cleansing properties and makes your skin feel refreshed.

4. Take some time out to take steam. The steam helps kill the bacteria on your skin and prevents them from breeding. It also opens up your pores and allows the impurities to seep out and cleanses them. 

5. Use some home remedies for a face pack or a face mask. This soothes your skin and helps remove impurities and cleanses your skin. Include natural moisturizing products like honey and banana that hydrate your skin as well. 

6. Keep your skin healthy by eating right and sleeping right. Stay away from alcohol and let your skin come back to life.
