We've all been waiting eagerly for this nine day-long festival. We have been stressing and running around preparing for this festival and now that it has started already we spend our days eating limited food due to our fast and we stress about the festivities and all of this impacts our hair. All the stress and load we take during a festival can damage our hair. We often forget to care for our hair as well. Our haircare routine, just like our skincare routine, goes for a toss. This is why we need to take some steps to prepare our hair for the stress and take some time out to care for it. We all need some simple tips to keep our tresses happy and healthy no matter what the festival.

Here are the hair care tips that we all need this Navratri.

1. You style your hair and then go out dancing every day. While we dance we often sweat a lot and we end up with lots of sweat all over our scalp. It's very important to clean your hair and scalp after this. If you're too tired to do it right away. Wash your hair with a mild shampoo the next morning or simply use a hair mask to cleanse your hair.

2. Your hair suffers a lot due to the constant styling and you definitely want to save it from all the damage. If you don't do your best to protect your hair you may even end up with severely damaged hair post these 9 days. Your hair dries up due to the heat and styling products. Try to oil it and if that's not possible, use a leave-in conditioner or a natural conditioner to soothe your hair and scalp.

3. Stress plays a major role in hair damage. All the stress you take will impact your hair and increase the hair fall and breakage. Try to reduce your stress levels and find 5 to 10 minutes in a day to meditate and relax.

4. Even if you fast don't skip out on healthy food that helps your hair. Your diet also impacts your hair and the way it behaves. Provide your hair with adequate proteins that it needs to remain healthy.

5. Get enough sleep. Inadequate sleep can increase your stress levels and it doesn't allow your hair to relax. Also, watch the fabric of your bedding. A rough fabric may take a toll on your hair and cause them to tangle up and break. Use satin pillows and try to not tie up your hair too much.
