Dead skin cells always exist on our skin and we're simply unaware or rather ignorant. Dead skin cells are not visible to the naked eye and just brushing it off with your hand or cleaning your face with a face wash is not enough. The dead skin cells and the dirt go deep into your skin. A better way of cleaning your skin and removing dead skin would be to exfoliate. Exfoliating your skin with a scrub helps cleanse your skin properly. A scrub goes deeper and removes the dead skin cells and dirt from the pores. Not doing this will lead to dry and dull skin due to the layer of dead skin cells that forms over your skin. Another problem that you will face if your avoid scrubs is that the skincare and beauty products that you use will not be able to penetrate your skin and work it's magic because the layer of dead skin cells will get in its way. Using a scrub every now and then can do this job but instead of going for something that you'll probably buy off the shelves of a store, try to use something from your kitchen to create a scrub for your skin type.

Here are some scrubs that you can make at home for every skin type.

1. If you have a normal skin type, take 2 teaspoons of coffee ground that is grainy and mix it with a half teaspoon of honey and one teaspoon of yoghurt. Blend it well till it becomes a proper mixture with some ground. Apply this mixture on your face and scrub gently for up to 10 minutes. While scrubbing, make circles and use upward motions for the best result. Rinse with cold water and cleanse your face.

2. Take 2 tablespoons of rice and grind it but don't make a powder. Let it remain coarse and thick. Add 1 to 2 spoons of honey in this mixture and use it to exfoliate your skin for up to 10 minutes. Be very gentle and wash it with some warm water. This scrub is best for oily skin.

3. For those with dry skin, you'll need a moisturizing scrub. Take 3 to 4 green tea bags and cut them open. Take the tea leaves from there and mix it with about 3 to 4 teaspoons of sugar. Now add 2 to 3 teaspoons of honey. Mix it well and use it to gently scrub your face in circular motions for 10 to 12 minutes and wash it with cold water.
