Have a dandruff problem? These easy ayurvedic home remedies will come to your rescue

Long luscious hair is a dream for almost any living girl. It not only makes your feel pretty and beautiful but also boosts your confidence. Given the lifestyle that we are leading having healthy voluminous hair seems like a legit dream. Split ends, frizzy dry hair, hairfall are common problems which most of the girls have to bear.

Dandruff is one of the most embarrassing scalp disorder that one has to face. It is the accumulation of dead skin cells which appears onto the scalp in the form of white flakes. Dandruff is usually caused because of a lot of reasons. Pollution, use of hair styling products, stress, fatigue, heat or cold exposure are common causes. Use of incorrect and excess of shampoo and conditioner can also cause this irritational problem.

Our grandmothers and mothers have always sworn by desi remedies before the breakout of medicines and bottled solutions. In today’s listicle we bring to you DIY home remedies which are very beneficial in helping you get rid of dandruff.

Coconut and lemon

Bringing two geniuses together. Lemon is a great haircare remedy. All you need to do is mix lemon in lukewarm heated coconut oil and apply it on the scalp. Leave it on for about half an hour or an hour. Wash it off with a mild shampoo, followed by a conditioner. Follow this twice a week to get the best results.

Curd and lemon

Another lemon based remedy for the hair. This is not just for dandruff but any hair problem. All you need is a bowl of curd and squeeze two whole lemons into it. Apply it on the scalp and on the lengths of your hair. Leave it on for about an hour and wash it off with a mild shampoo. Curd acts as a moisturiser and keeps your hair well moist, whereas lemon helps in getting rid of the white flakes.

Almond oil and olive oil

Almond oil and olive oil both have the super quality of nourishing your hair and helping good growth. Mix almond oil and olive oil in equal quantities and apply it on your scalp and the lengths of your hair. Mix some sugar in water and apply the solution on your hair after the oil application. Wash your hair off with a mild shampoo and post that rinse your hair with tea water.

Camphor and coconut oil

This one comes from the Grandmother’s books. Just take some camphor balls or ‘kapoor’ crush them and add coconut oil to them. Store this in a bottle and apply it every night before going to bed. Camphor helps in cooling your scalp and also reduces dandruff.

Hot oil massage

The easiest and most beneficial remedy ever for all the hair problems. Just take some oil and warm it a bit for it to soak in the roots better. Apply the oil on your scalp and the lengths of your hair and massage it nicely. Do this at least twice a week and see the difference.
