Haircare Tips: Keep your hair healthy and prevent winter damage with THESE hacks
Winter is just around the corner and our hair needs some haircare hacks to stay luscious and beautiful.
Winter is almost here and as we see less of the sun, the sun damage to our skin and hair has reduced drastically. This doesn't mean that those little rays of sunlight can't do any damage. But now we have a bigger problem of dealing with winter damage. Winter is known to be harsh on our skin and hair and it can take a toll on you.
Our hair is more exposed to the harsh weather as compared to our skin. We have a skincare routine and we keep our skin moisturized and protected but our hair often gets exposed. The heat we get indoor and the extremely cold weather outside can take a toll on your hair. Moreover, the winter clothes that we love so much can impact our hair as well. The sweaters and jackets make our hair more frizzy and dull. This is why it is crucial to maintain healthy haircare routine to lower the impact of the harsh weather.
Here are some hair care tips that we all need during winters.

1. The cold weather absorbs all the moisture from our scalp and makes it very dry and flaky. This often leads to dandruff and an itchy scalp. In order to avoid it, keep your hair and scalp nourished and moisturised. Oil your hair frequently and use a basic hair nourishing hair oil like olive oil and coconut oil and sesame seed oil.

2. Winter can increase the static in your hair and increase the frizziness. Frizzy hair can look bad and make it difficult to manage your day. Winters can lead to bad hair days but they can be prevented easily. Most of us take a bath in warm water because it's too cold to handle but avoiding this can make your hair more manageable. Hot water can strip your hair of any natural oil and makes it drier. Use normal or lukewarm water instead.

3. Deep condition your hair regularly. You can use home remedies or simply buy a deep conditioning conditioner to nourish your hair and help it heal in the cold weather.

4. Avoid using hair styling tools. Hairstyling tools require the usage of heat which can dry up your hair and scalp more dry and rough. Let your hair dry naturally with the fresh air and use home remedies to curl or straighten your hair.

5. Don't wash your hair too much or too less. Washing them too often will strip it from its natural oil and moisture and washing it too less can lead to a product built up or sometimes even form layers of dust and dirt.
