Winter is almost on the brink and we are all set to welcome the season as we set our feet in the final months of the year. Winter brings a lot of glow, radiance and happiness. But this chilly weather also brings in dry skin and chapped lips. While there are many options available in the market but it is always fun to make something of your own. Listed below are some DIY homemade lip balm recipes which will become your best friend instantly.
Rose lip balm
Rose adds that hint of colour and keeps our lips extremely nourished and soft. For the lip balm you need 1 tablespoon of beeswax, ½ tablespoon of castor oil, 3 tablespoon of rose-infused oil 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1 tablespoon of cocoa butter. Melt the beeswax in a double boiler or in a microwave or stove. Now add castor oil, rose infused oil and cocoa butter to it. Add the vanilla extract to add fragrance. Keep mixing it and let the mixture cool down. Pour it in small containers and use it as and when you like.

Chocolate and mint lip balm
Every living person on this planet is a fan of chocolate. Period. This winter pamper yourself with a chocolate lip balm. All you need is 2 teaspoon of white beeswax pellets, 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder, 2 teaspoon of almond oil and a few drops of peppermint oil. Start off with melting the beeswax first on a double boiler or in the microwave or stove. Now as you move the wax, stir in some cocoa powder. Add the almond and peppermint oil and keep stirring it. Let the mixture now sit and let it rest and cool down for a while and then pour them in small containers.
Peppermint oil lip balm
There are many who absolutely swear by peppermint and we don't blame them at all. You will need 1 teaspoon of coconut oil, 1 tablespoon white beeswax pellets, 1 teaspoon of almond oil, 3 drops of peppermint oil. Melt the beeswax and as you are stirring it, add the coconut and sweet almond oil to it. Make sure you are using chopsticks to stirring the ingredients. Once the mixture cools off, you can pour it into small containers.

Lemon lip balm
Who doesn’t like a bit of flavour in their lip balm? For the lime lip balm, all you need is 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, 1 teaspoon of cocoa butter, 1 teaspoon of almond oil, 1 teaspoon of beeswax and 5-10 drops of lime essential oil. Add cocoa butter, coconut oil, beeswax and almond oil all together in a double boiler and mix it. Keep stirring the mixture until and unless everything is melted and nicely dissolved. Now add the lime essential and stir. Let the mixture cool down. Once it is done, just pour them into small and cute containers.
Maple syrup balm
Of course we love the maple syrup on our pancakes but now we can have a lip balm made from it too. You need about 5g of beeswax, 3g of virgin coconut oil, 4g of sweet almond oil, 4g of cocoa butter, 2g of maple syrup. Add cocoa butter, coconut oil, beeswax, sweet almond oil and maple syrup in a double boiler and let the ingredients melt. Once you take it off the gas then let the mixture cool off and pour it into a small container.
