Do Facials really work and are they good for your skin? Find out
From the very beginning, we have known that facials are the best way to get glowy skin. But do they really work? Here we have all the pros and cons of the beauty treatment listed. Check it out
Facials are known for cleansing while letting the natural skin shine. A facial is a family of skincare treatments for the face, including steam, exfoliation, extraction, creams, lotions, facial masks, peels, and massage. With using so many treatments on the skin one after the other, it tends to make the skin glow. They are used for both, maintaining skin health and dealing with any specific skin conditions.
While there are many skin conditions that a facial can deal with, when a lot of these treatments are done one after the other it can affect the skin making it prone to losing its elasticity.

PROS:
While getting a facial, the exfoliation helps removes the dirt and impurities while the creams, lotions and mask slowly penetrate in the skin. The massaging further enhances the blood circulation making it easier for the creams to penetrate inside the skin. The steaming further helps to open pores so that blackheads and whiteheads can be removed. The peels further ensure deep cleaning and extraction of all the dirt and clogged pores. All of this ensures deep cleaning of the pores while promoting the blood circulation making the skin glow.
But, while they're a lot of pros, you should also consider the cons before getting your next facial.

CONS:
While facials have been done for years now, you should not forget that it is a kind of skin treatment and can end causing allergies if not careful. Facials require the use of different types of creams, lotions and serums. All of these products are oily in nature, which can easily affect people with acne-prone and combination skin. People feel that a facial will clean their pores up but in turn, it will end up clogging them even more with the heavy creams causing it to break out even more. On the other hand, exfoliation can cause micro-tears in the skin which can affect skin health in the long run. Adding to it, the massaging can also loosen the skin making it prone to wrinkles over a period of time.
We are sure that after knowing about these pros and cons you will be smart enough to know which way you want your boat to sail. Getting a facial once in a while is fine but often use of the treatment can end up affecting the skin health.
