Who doesn't want super soft and luscious lips with absolutely no cracks, right! The least you can do for them to be supple and smooth, is to give them the nourishment they need. The skin on your lips is extremely sensitive and is likely to get damaged because of the weather, sun, temperature, etc. When it comes to providing nourishment, there is nothing better than natural ingredients! Natural ingredients help the lips in healing the lips faster. The best part though, is that they are super easy to make! 

With the help of simple ingredients like essential oils, natural dyes and other kitchen ingredients, make some customised lip balms that suit your individual lip problems. Ps. they also make for great gifts and fun projects! 

Before you pour them into containers, ensure they are clean and dry and ensure that you store them in the refrigerator since there are no added preservatives that will stop it from spoiling. 

Basic tinted lip balm

Ingredients:

2 spoons shea butter

10 drops spoons essential oil (lavender/vanilla)

4 spoons coconut/olive/sunflower oil

2 pellets of beeswax

Method

Pour the shea butter, beeswax, and oil into a microwave safe bowl. Heat this at 30-second intervals and stir well so it mixes. 

Add the essential oils and mix. 

Pour this into a pot or tube and allow it to cool before applying on your lips. 

Mint chocolate chip lip balm

Who said lip balm needs to have no taste? This DIY one is sure to change your perspective so much so that you will feel like eating this one up!

Ingredients

1 spoon cocoa powder

2 spoons almond oil

2 pellets of beeswax 

2 drops of peppermint oil

Method:

Melt the beeswax by placing it in a microwave-safe container and keep stirring for 30 seconds till it melts. 

Add cocoa powder to this and mix until it is a smooth brown consistency. 

Add the almond and peppermint oil while stirring and mix well. 

Pour this into smaller pots or tubes and let it cool. 

Apply it on your lips and try to keep away from licking it!

Raspberry and lemon lip balm

Another one you will not be able to keep yourself from tasting, this lip balm will also leave a pink tint on your lips. 

Ingredients:

2 spoons coconut oil

2 drops of lemon oil

2 spoons raspberry gelatin mix

Method:

Heat the coconut oil till it melts. 

Add the raspberry mix and blend it well to the oil. 

Heat it again, for the gelatin to melt. 

Add the lemon oil and mix it well. 

Pout it into small pots or a tube and let it cool and harden. 

Apply on lips for a tinted pink hue and sweet raspberry taste.
