Can't find the right hair colour? Here's how you can pick a colour that compliments your skin tone

Colour our hair is a great change and it makes us look so pretty and amazing. But when it comes to picking a colour, we have too many choices and patterns to pick from. You look at that woman sporting the grey silver hair colour and it makes you want it too. But you're just not sure if it's the right colour for you. Picking a hair colour can be tricky because it's something that you have to live with and it's expensive.

Has it ever happened that you've picked a trending hair colour and it ended up looking like a complete disaster? This can be avoided if you learn how to pick the right colour for yourself. Colours have a lot to do with your skin tone. The hair colour you pick has to compliment your skin and it shouldn't be a sight for sore eyes. It should go with your skin tone and not stand out. But how do you know what colour will go with your skin? This is where your research comes to your rescue.

Here are some tips on picking the right hair colour to go with your skin tone.

1. The first thing to determine is the undertone of your skin tone. It's essential to understand your undertones to pick the right shade. If you have yellowish undertones then you have a warm skin tone and if your skin has a pinkish undertone then you have cool skin tone.

2. For warm skin tone, pick warm colours like blonde and honey shades and for cool skin tone, pick shades like ash grey, brown and so on.

3. If you have fair skin avoid too bright colours like blue and pink. Go for darker shades like red and chocolate and coffee shades.

4. If you have a medium skin tone go for colours that are warm like brown and ginger. You can also pick shades of blue and maroon and purples.

5. If your skin tone is olive coloured pick shades like light brown and darker shades of blonde.

6. But if you have darker skin colour like caramel or wheatish pick shades of darker brown and caramel tones. You can also go for deep red or navy blue or maybe even a dark shade of purple or plum shades. Avoid shades like light blonde and ash.
