Young boy acts as media manager in Virat Kohli's pre-match PC before game with England in World Cup 2019
Team India will be involved in a special initiative on Sunday, where the money earned will help children in cricket-playing nations
Team India are gearing up to face England in a crucial game in the World Cup 2019 on Sunday. The hosts, after losing three games, need a win here to keep their hopes alive for a spot in the semis, while India are yet to lose a game.
Team india will be involved in a noble cause during the clash, that has been initiated by the ICC. The "One day for children" initiative that has been organised along with the UNICEF aims to bring together all cricket fans to make the world a better place for each child. The initiative will help children learn to play cricket and stay healthy. The money raised on Sunday will help UNICEF work for children in cricket playing nations across the world.
The pre-match press conference of Virat Kohli on Saturday was conducted by a 10-year old boy, keeping in mind the initiative. As a part of formality, even the first question was asked by a young girl who posed as a journalist.
The girl named Neha asked Kohli if he was excited for Sunday's game. “Yes Neha, thank you for the lovely question. Yes, we are very excited. It’s a very special occasion. First time that it’s been done, and we are proud that we are part of such a special game, and I hope all of you are excited as well", was Kohli's reply.
