Sri Lankan legend Lasith Malinga played his last World Cup game when his team met India on Saturday. The 35-year old will retire from ODIs after the series between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh later this month. Playing his fourth World Cup, Malinga, ended as the third highest wicket-taker in the history of the event, picking up 56 wickets in 29 games.

Glenn McGrath and Muttiah Muralitharan have more wickets than him. His standout World Cup performance came in 2007, when he scalped 4 wickets in 4 balls against South Africa. He guided his team to the finals in 2007 and 2011, with Sri Lanka losing to Australia and India respectively.
