The clash between India and England that was encountered on Sunday, 30th June was considered to be one of the most important matches so far for the teams qualifying for the semi-finals in the tournament. The Pakistan cricket team supporters were all set to showcase their support for the Men in Blue in order to keep alive their hopes of semi finals which was vanquished with India’s defeat.

The Men in Blue were criticised for their lack of positive intent in their batting department. Former Pakistani bowler and coach, Waqar Younis also questioned the sportsmanship of these Indian stalwarts and said that the Indian team failed badly in that department. He tweeted as, “It's not who you are.. What you do in life defines who you are.. Me not bothered if Pakistan gets to the semis or not but one thing is for sure.. Sportsmanship of few Champions got tested and they failed badly."

England cricket team were right on the top of their game from the very start of their innings. Indian bowlers, who struggled to get their first break-through, were unable to cope up with the exceptional batting of their openers, who registered a 150 plus partnership for the first wicket. The team also lost early wickets in their batting and were unable to chase down the huge target set by the English batsmen.

Pakistan will play its next match against Bangladesh on Friday, 5th July at Lord’s cricket ground whereas, the hosts will next encounter the Black Caps on Wednesday, 3rd July at Riverside Ground.
