New Zealand lost the final of the ICC World Cup 2019 against England on the basis of scoring lesser boundaries in the game than the hosts. The match was one of the most exciting games ever played in the history of cricket and the fans enjoyed the thriller between the two teams to the maximum. The match that was resulted in a tie was carried on to a super over, which was once again tied and the hosts claimed the title as they scored more boundaries in the match than New Zealand.

However, the former Indian opener, Virendra Sehwag appreciated the Black Caps and said that even though they already had fans in India, they won more by their calmness and spirit. He also appreciated the New Zealand Skipper, Kane Williamson for gracefully handling the defeat. Sehwag posted a picture of Kane Williamson on his twitter account and tweeted as, “New Zealand had many fans in India and today they have won many more, by their calmness and spirit. Kane Williamson , smiling after the tie. Beautiful to see #CWC19Final”

He responded to the tweet of the former Indian cricketer and said that it wasn’t a tie in the end indicating that England cricket team are the sole winners of the ICC World Cup 2019. Michael Vaughan tweeted as, “I agree Viru .. Great ambassador for the game .. But 1 thing .. It wasn’t a tie in the end !!”
