Superstar Shah Rukh Khan turned 53 today and fans celebrated his birthday with fervour. Over the last week, fans have traveled from across the globe to be in Mumbai to wish their favourite star on his birthday today. Fans have gathered outside Mannat since last night to ring in the superstar’s birthday. Each year, Shah Rukh Khan comes to the balcony to greet and thank all the fans for their wishes and today was no different. At midnight, Shah Rukh Khan greeted and waved out to a sea of fans and even distributed the merchandise of Zero.
He ringed in his birthday with his family and close friends. He tweeted last night that he is ‘having a happy birthday’ and is celebrating with his family and fans. Today, Shah Rukh Khan attended the trailer launch event of his next film with Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, Zero. The film’s trailer is Shah Rukh’s birthday gift to his fans. The film is a love triangle between three unique characters. Shah Rukh Khan plays the role of a vertically challenged man, Katrina essays the character of a diva battling alcoholism and Anushka Sharma will be seen as a scientist suffering from cerebral palsy.
After the trailer launch, Shah Rukh Khan cut his birthday cake with the team and with fans. Instead of singing ‘Happy Birthday’, fans made it special by crooning Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’s title song as Shah Rukh Khan cut his birthday cake. He also joined fans and sang along.
