Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra called it quits after being in an on-off relationship for quite some time. Alia and Sidharth were spotted about town and did not shy away from calling each other ‘a special friend’. However, reports of Sidharth and A Gentleman co-star Jacqueline Fernandez’s closeness sparked rumours of their break-up. Sources informed leading dailies that the ex-couple broke up due to constant fights about his closeness with Jacqueline Fernandez. Sidharth and Alia Bhatt split late last year.

We came across a clip on social media from Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss. Alia had gone on the show to promote her film, Dear Zindagi. Salman Khan gave her a task of picking one name from the actors whose photos appear on-screen. The first option was Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor. Alia was prompt to pick Ranbir Kapoor and reasoned that Ranveer Singh will disappear as he is busy shooting for Bhansali’s film. Next option was Ranbir Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra. Alia blushed and picked Sidharth Malhotra and said, “He is my friend and I share a special bond with him.”
