Kangana Ranaut has been busy shooting for her upcoming film, Manikarnika.
Kangana Ranaut has been busy filming for her next, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. She has been shooting for elaborate and intense sword fighting sequences, during which she tore a ligament. Kangana has been advised rest and will resume shooting once she recovers.
Kangana shot for the film in Jodhpur and Hyderabad. From the sets of Manikarnika in Jodhpur, many photos were leaked. Kangana looked every bit royal in those photos in the get-up of Queen Laxmibai. Kangana has been undergoing intensive physical training to ace the part.
Her look from the film got the fans excited and they have been waiting with bated breath for the film to release mid-next year. This was around the time Deepika Padukone’s look from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus, Padmavati was revealed.
Fans also started comparing Kangana’s Manikarnika look to Deepika Padukone’s Padmavati look. A source had told a leading daily, “How else can you explain the multiple pictures of Kangana in a queen’s avatar being ‘leaked’ from the sets on a daily basis? Kangana may be feeling anxious, but it is too early for her pictures to come out much before the release of the film. She may well want to piggyback on Deepika’s queen visuals coming out, but this is more of a knee-jerk reaction.”
Kangana was asked about comparisons with Deepika Padukone and film Padmavati and well, she chose to deflect the question and gave a generic answer.
