Varun Dhawan made his Bollywood debut with Karan Johar's film Student Of The Year in 2012. The film also starred Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra in the lead roles.
Varun and Karan are like family to each other. The actor has always mentioned in media interviews that he is grateful to Karan for his career and interesting projects he has been a part of.
The handsome actor has been a part of films like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania which were produced by Karan Johar. He will be next seen in the films Kalank and Rannbhoomi which will also be produced under Karan Johar's home banner Dharma Productions.
Today, on the occasion of Guru Purnima, Varun Dhawan shared a video in which he is touching Karan Johar's feet and taking blessings from his Guru. The actor shared this video on his Instagram page and captioned it, "Happy guru Purnima".

Karan Johar has always been appreciative of Varun Dhawan. He always encourages the actor in his career and tweets about his films and performances on his Twitter page. The director and the actor have even hosted award shows together.
Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan will be seen this year in the film Sui Dhaaga: Made In India alongside Anushka Sharma. He plays the role of a tailor in the film and Anushka will be seen as an embroiderer. The film is directed by Sharat Kataria and produced by Maneesh Sharma.
Sui Dhaaga is slated to release on September 28, 2018.
