Vidya Balan responds politely to a reporter's question about her weight.
Vidya Balan has been promoting her film, Tumhari Sulu that releases on 17th November. Tumhari Sulu also stars Neha Dhupia and Manav Kaul in pivotal roles.
She recently encountered an awkward moment while speaking to the press. A reporter questioned Vidya Balan about her weight and the actress was left stunned. She, however, responded politely.
The reporter asked Vidya if she wanted to continue doing female centric films or wanted to lose weight to fit into glamorous roles. Vidya, responded by saying that there is no connection between the two and that she is happy with the work she is doing. Vidya also said that people’s mindsets need to change about fat-shaming. Vidya definitely handled the situation gracefully.

About her body issues, Vidya had earlier revealed to a daily, “I was actually at a point three years ago where I was finally feeling happy with myself, my body. And then I started gaining weight, and would wake up feeling unhealthy. I had been put on medication for a disease I didn’t even have and that took its toll. And, suddenly, all my body issues came back, and my movies weren’t doing well but then I realised the Universe was saying ‘you thought this was it’. And, all I needed to do was change my attitude. The situation is still the way it was, but I am just looking at it differently now, and being positive.”
