Watch: Shah Rukh Khan reads Deepika Padukone’s mother Ujala Padukone’s heartwarming letter to her

Deepika Padukone is one of Bollywood’s top actress today. She has come a long way since her debut in Bollywood and has reached great heights.

On the sidelines of an awards show, Shah Rukh Khan interacted with Deepika Padukone and read out a heartwarming letter that Deepika Padukone’s mother, Ujala Padukone had written for the actress.

In the letter, Mrs. Padukone writes to Deepika that she is proud and happy that her daughter has scaled great heights in her field, but also reminds Deepika how she was a tomboy in her childhood. She also reflects on Deepika’s journey and says that she has sacrificed a lot to get there. She also mentions how Deepika has been single-handed operating and running her office and home respectively.

Deepika is in tears as Shah Rukh reads the letter. Earlier, on the same show Ranveer Singh had sung, “Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh’ and talked dearly about their equation.

About her mom, Deepika had recently said in an interview to a leading daily, “We all inspire each other in different ways, but it’s my mother who inspires me the most. She is the backbone of our family. My father is a celebrity and my sister started her golf career, but my mother was never in the spotlight. She is happy taking a backseat. My mother is the real hero in my family.”

On the work front, Deepika will soon start shooting for her next film, Vishal Bharadwaj’s directorial venture co-starring Irrfan Khan.
