Deepika Padukone has achieved immense success and is one of the biggest stars of the country. Her fans love her for being real, grounded and humble despite achieving dizzying heights of success and stardom. Deepika Padukone and her father Prakash Padukone have shot for an interview as part of the India Today, India Tomorrow series on India Today. The father-daughter duo talk about Deepika’s journey, family and the film industry in the interview. The channel shared the promo of the interview today.
In the promo, Rajdeep Sardesai asks Deepika and her father if she is a star at home or actually makes her own bed like it is rumoured. Deepika says that her father should answer the question. Prakash Padukone says, “Absolutely, you can ask anybody who visits us on a daily basis. Absolutely Not (she is not the star at home). If somebody comes then they’ll have to remind us that she is a star otherwise we are like normal people. So, there’s absolutely no tantrums, she’s never treated like a star. She doesn’t expect it and we won’t do that also.”
Deepika has said at many a time that her family keeps her grounded and when she goes back home to Bengaluru, she does the dishes, helps clean the house and makes her own bed.
The interview will be aired on Friday.
On the work front, Deepika Padukone has announced her next film. She will star in Meghna Gulzar’s next based on acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. The film will go on floors in February.
