At IFFI 2018 in Goa, an emotional Janhvi Kapoor paid tribute to her late mother and legendary actress Sridevi. The Dhadak actress recited a self-written heartwarming poem for her mom.

In 2017, when Janhvi Kapoor was in the midst of shooting for her Bollywood debut movie - Dhadak, the newcomer had accompanied her parents, legendary actress Sridevi and bonafide filmmaker Boney Kapoor at IFFI 2017 in Goa. In February 2018, Sridevi breathed her last, and since then, the Kapoor family has been trying to recover from the unbearable loss. At IFFI 2018, which took place recently, Janhvi and Boney appeared again and spoke fondly about Sridevi and her immeasurable contribution to the world of movies.

For the event, Janhvi looked gorgeous in a white layered top with fringes all over it and paired the top with a printed light turquoise blue coloured skirt. The actress completed the attire with a pair of dangling silver earrings, while her hair was tied in a neat high ponytail. At the panel, Janhvi paid tribute to her late mother by reciting a heartwarming poem for her mommy dearest. Boney proudly looked on at his daughter as she read her poem.

Talking about her personal growth and dealing with the trying times, Janhvi shared, "It’s harder to say anything… When I say growth’, I mean personal growth, I don’t know about artistic. This year brought me both the worst and the best experience of my life. It’s a little strange… Our family is now united, so that is a very big thing for me."


Meanwhile, on the work front, Janhvi will next be seen in Karan Johar's Takht which also stars Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Anil Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar. Takht is slated for a 2020 release.
