Watch: Janhvi Kapoor breaks down in this emotional scene from Dhadak

Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter have been promoting the film, Dhadak which is slated to release on July 20, 2018 across the country. Dhadak is the debut film of Janhvi Kapoor. Janhvi and Ishaan were in Delhi today where they promoted the film and interacted with the media.

Janhvi plays the role of Parthavi in the film based on caste discrimination and honor killing. In a scene from the film, Janhvi Kapoor is seen venting out her frustration as she misses home. She breaks down in front of Madhu (Ishaan Khatter’s character).

Janhvi and Ishaan shot for the film in Rajasthan and Kolkata. Dhadak is the remake of the Marathi film by Nagraj Manjule, Sairat.

Janhvi had revealed at the trailer launch of the film that she had seen Sairat with her mother, Sridevi at home and the mother-daughter duo had discussed how Janhvi should make her debut in Bollywood with a film like that.

The screening of the film for the cast and crew of Dhadak was held at a studio two days ago. Anil Kapoor, Sonam K Ahuja and other members of the Kapoor family watched the film. Sonam gave the film a thumbs up and commended the team of Dhadak on social media.

Janhvi Kapoor shared in a recent interview that she is excited to show the film to her family, but since Arjun Kapoor is out of town, he will see the film later.
