Deepika Padukone opened up about husband Ranveer Singh's film Simmba, her birthday plans and revealed when they couple will go on their honeymoon.
Deepika Padukone attended Kids’ Choice Awards in Mumbai today sans husband Ranveer Singh. She looked sensational in a red outfit by Sabyasachi. Deepika and Ranveer got married a month ago and their wedding ceremonies were magical and dreamy. The couple shared some photos on Instagram from their Konkani wedding, Anand Karaj and Mehendi ceremony, much to the delight of their fans. At the event today, Deepika opened up about how it feels to be a newlywed, changes in life post marriage and honeymoon plans.
When asked by the media how being married feels, she said, “It’s a long conversation, but thank you all for the love. It has been very magical and special and we’re so happy that we got to share it with all of you.” The couple hosted wedding receptions in Mumbai and Bengaluru and stepped out for a photo-op for the media. During their wedding reception on December 1, 2018 where they had invited all their colleagues from the industry, the newlyweds posed for an epic selfie with photographers.
When asked if she is over the month-long festivities, Deepika said, “I think marriage itself is a beautiful celebration, while literal celebrations are done from our end, December anyway is a very festive time and as a newlywed, celebration continues for a while.”
She also talked about her plans for her birthday, honeymoon and husband Ranveer Singh’s Simmba and said, ““I don’t think we have planned anything now. Right now, we are looking forward to his film release. Yes ( I think he looks hot.) I loved the trailer and it is signature Rohit Shetty and I’ve had the pleasure of working with him and creating one of my most memorable characters with him. Simmba is on its way to becoming a blockbuster and it has success written all over it. I think right now, we’re focused on his film releasing and we’ll figure out honeymoon and birthday after that.”
