Throwback to 2001 ITA when Tara won the Milestone show of Indian TV; Cast sans Alok Nath collected the award
After the producer of popular 90’s show ‘Tara’, Vinta Nanda shared her ordeal of being raped by senior actor Alok Nath, a throwback video of the entire team receiving the award at ITA in 2001 has surfaced online. Everyone, except Alok Nath, was present on stage for the award ceremony. Take a look
In a shocking facebook post, producer Vinta Nanda of a popular 90’s show, Tara, opened up about her traumatic ordeal of Sexual harassment by senior actor of the show, Alok Nath. She mentioned in her post that the actor had not only harassed her but had raped her way back when she was the producer of the show. After keeping quiet for a long time, she finally decided to come out in the open and reveal the truth about the ‘sanskari lead actor.’
Now, a throwback video of the team of Tara back on 2001 has surfaced online where we can see the team receiving a milestone award for the show. The entire cast along with producer Vinta can be seen. But, Alok Nath seems to be missing from the award ceremony. Back in 2001, Tara had received an award for being Milestone Show of Indian Television. In the video we can see the entire lead cast of Tara along with producer, Vinta Nanda receiving the award from the Late actor Sunil Dutt. However, the senior lead actor, Alok Nath did not come to join the team of ladies back then as well.

The senior actor has been accused of raping Vinta Nanda, producer of Tara and also harassing her during that time. She took to her facebook to discuss her ordeal after a long time. This morning, Sushant Singh, Executive member of CINTAA apologised to Vinta Nanda and mentioned that a show cause notice will be sent to Alok Nath to explain why he should not be expelled. After Tanushree Dutta’s allegation on Nana Patekar of Sexual Harassment, there has been an upswing in the number of women who opened up about Sexual Harassment at their workplace. Now, the netizens are calling it the start of #MeToo movement in India.
