Sui Dhaaga: Varun Dhawan takes blessings from PM Narendra Modi and Mahatma Gandhi

Varun Dhawan took blessings from the wax statues of Mahatma Gandhi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi before starting up his next film, Sui Dhaaga. He shared the video on Instagram.

Varun Dhawan is one of the most adored Bollywood actors in the young generation. The actor has had a flourishing career with his movies performing extremely well at the box office. With Judwaa 2, Varun Dhawan achieved many feats and now has a wax statue of himself at the Madame Tussauds in Hong Kong.

The actor took blessings from the wax statues of Mahatma Gandhi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi before starting up his next film, Sui Dhaaga. He shared the video and wrote, "#madeinindia #suidhaaga. Got the most important blessings before I start this important film."

Talking about the film, it is directed by Sharat Katariya of Dum Laga Ke Haisha fame under Yash Raj Films banner. Varun is playing the role of tailor in the film. The film also stars Anushka Sharma in the lead role. 

Varun believes that his chemistry with Anushka will be crackling and the film will work with the masses. The actor also believes that the ideology of Made In India has been popularised in our country by the likes of great leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and hence, he takes immense pride in the fact that he can spread this ideology to the masses. 

Anushka who has always played extremely humane characters is said to have been extremely happy on hearing this script. Sui Dhaaga - Made in India is slated to release on September 28, 2018, during Gandhi Jayanti weekend.

Apart from Sui Dhaaga , the actor will also been in Shoojit Sircar's October. Talking about working with Sircar, the actor said, "While shooting for October, Shoojit da didn’t let me work out for all of two months keeping the character’s requirements in mind. Now I’m dying to hit the gym and get back to my baniyan look."
