Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma will be sharing the screen space for the first time in the film Sui Dhaaga: Made in India. It is a film about finding love and respect through self-reliance. Varun Dhawan plays a tailor called Mauji in Sui Dhaaga and Anushka Sharma plays Mamta, an embroiderer. Helmed and penned by Dum Laga Ke Haisha director Sharat Kataria and bankrolled by Yash Raj Films, Sui Dhaga is based on the ideology of Make In India.  The trailer was appreciated for it’s simplicity and relatable content. 

The filmmakers have come up with an unique strategy to market their film. Now, they are sharing videos wherein you get to see the real India - the real people and their real craft. Today, Varun and Anushka will take you through a beautiful journey of the art of a place called Pipli. In the video, you will get to see the true relevance of Sui and Dhaaga and how both the things are seeped into the culture of our country. In a video shared recently, we see how the team of the film reached out to several embroiders across India and to show how our country is actually special in terms of unity in diversity. Isn’t that this quite an insightful initiative?

Sui Dhaaga has a small-town setting. Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma have donned glamorous avatars several times. But in the upcoming film, the two heartthrobs of Bollywood have gone completely deglam.

The film also stars Raghubir Yadav. Sui Dhaaga is slated to release on September 28.
