Soorma Trailer: Diljit Dosanjh nails as hockey legend Sandeep Singh; Taapsee Pannu looks impressive
The trailer of Soorma was dropped today. The biopic stars Diljit Dosanjh in the lead role where he is seen playing the role of hockey legend Sandeep Singh. Watch the trailer below.
The trailer of Soorma is out. Based on the life and times of hockey player Sandeep Singh, Diljit Dosanjh plays the lead role.
The trailer starts with young Sandeep showing his dislike towards the sport of hocke. However, he shows determination to play the game after falling for a hockey player named Preet, played by Taapsee Pannu. Sandeep Singh went on to become a national champion but due to a tragic accident, he gets paralysed.
He gets accidentally shot during a train journey in the year 2006. With his sheer determination and hard work, Sandeep makes a grand comeback in the year 2008 and goes on to play hockey at international levels. For the uninitiated, Sandeep Singh went on to score the most goals and won the Man of the Tournament award in the 2009 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup.
The trailer shows a glimpse of his whole journey of getting back on his feet and becoming a legendary hockey player. Diljit impresses as Sandeep and will definitely nail the character.
Apart from Diljit and Taapsee, Soorma also stars Angad Bedi in a pivotal role.

The music of the film is given by Shankar Ehsaan Loy and lyrics are penned by Gulzar. Soorma is set to hit the screens on July 13, 2018.
