Although a private affair, pictures from the three days ceremony have been flooding the social media ever since. Soon after their marriage, Sonam took to her Instagram handle and added Ahuja to her name. Isn't that just adorable?
It was only recently that Kapoors and Ahujas released an official statement about Sonam Kapoor and her long-time beau Anand Ahuja’s wedding. The statement read, “From the Kapoor & Ahuja families, The Kapoor & Ahuja families, take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam & Anand. The wedding will take place on the 8th of May in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family's need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love, as we celebrate this special moment in our lives.”
According to reports, Sonam and Anand were introduced to each other by mutual friend Pernia Qureshi in 2014. Pernia was apparently styling Sonam then and was also close friends with Anand. The latter reportedly proposed to Sonam within a month of being introduced to her and the duo has been together ever since.
