After the trailer and a few songs, we got our hands on the new dialogue promo of movie Batti Gul Meter Chalu. From Shahid-Shardha’s chemistry in the movie to the aftermath of the suicide of Shahid’s friend (Divyendu Sharma) in the movie as he failed to pay a huge sum of electricity bill, the promo takes you through the borderline plot of the film. What catches attention in the promo is the fresh language and accent – Garhwali. We also get a glimpse of Yami Gautam in the promo. Shree Narayan Singh’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu, starring Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, is a social issue-based drama like the director’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (2017). This time, the villain is a corrupt electricity board overcharging a small town for its services. The film will hit the theatres on September 21. It is Shahid and Shraddha's second film together after 2014's Haider.
On the work front, Shahid who recently became a father for the second time will be seen in Arjun Reddy remake whereas Shraddha Kapoor is gearing up for her debut in Telegu cinema. Shraddha is also enjoying the massive hit that her recent movie Stree has been.
