We all are aware that superstar Shah Rukh Khan does not like talking about his philanthropic work but we came across a heartening video of the star on his Instagram feed which will definitely touch your weak nerve too. Shah Rukh's Meer Foundation has now joined hands with Vogue and the magazine is now helping create awareness for the acid attack victims in India.

His foundation provides support to acid attack female survivors and provides medical treatment, legal aid, vocational training, rehabilitation and livelihood support.

Vogue shared a video of SRK talking about the acid victims and the value of life in general. Vogue captioned the video as, "Most acknowledge the need to empower victims of acid attacks, and yet, these women struggle with things as basic as acceptance. Vogue has joined hands with @Kulsumshadab’s @hothurfoundation and Shah Rukh Khan’s @meerfoundationofficial, in their resolve to give victims of these heartless acts of violence, a new lease on life. #BraveIsBeautiful #SkinBanking."

In January this year, The World Economic Forum honored the actor with the Crystal Award for the work done by his Meer Foundation. SRK in his acceptance speech in Davos had said that to disfigure a woman by throwing acid on her face is one of the basest, crudest acts of subjugation imaginable. He had also added that he has learnt how to catalyse victim-hood into heroism from the acid attack victims.

At yet another event, SRK had said that he would like to work towards the rehabilitation of these survivors, find them jobs and ensure that they become independent so that they can sustain themselves. The actor asserted that he would like his daughter Suhana to take this legacy forward.

The actor never talks about all the human welfare work he does, but that doesn't mean his good work goes unnoticed.
