Salman Khan’s day in jail: Meets Preity Zinta and sisters Arpita Khan Sharma & Alvira Agnihotri, lunch and nap
Salman Khan’s day started at 8.15 AM in the jail. In the morning, close friend Preity Zinta arrived inside the jail to meet the actor. Salman’s sisters Alvira Agnihotri and Arpita Khan Sharma also arrived to meet him.
Salman Khan has been convicted by the Jodhpur court in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. Salman has been sentenced to five years imprisonment. He was taken directly to the Jodhpur central jail where he spent last night.
Salman Khan’s bail plea was to be heard today by the Sessions court. However, the court reserved its order in the bail hearing till tomorrow. Salman hence, spent the day in jail. Salman Khan exchanged pleasantries with Asaram Bapu, who is lodged in the next barrack.

Salman and Preity spent around 20 minutes talking. Next, Salman’s sisters Alvira Agnihotri and Arpita Khan Sharma arrived to meet him. The two spent close to 25 minutes with the actor.
The DIG (Jail) Vikram Singh said that generally visitors are only granted a meeting with a prisoner after 15 days, but in some circumstances they can allow meetings before that time.
Salman Khan had refused dinner last night and did not have breakfast in the morning. However, he had lunch comprising of mixed vegetable, lentils and chapatti.
Salman rested for three hours in the afternoon after lunch. He was to be given his jail uniform today but the DIG informed the media, “Salman Khan was in his clothes on Friday because the jail uniform for him is being stitched.”
