Royal Rumble 2019: Nia Jax is the surprise entrant in the Men's Royal Rumble Match
Nia Jax entered the history books as the fourth women wrestler, after Chyna, Beth Pheonix and Kharma, to enter the Men's Royal Rumble Match at Royal Rumble 2019. The Irresistible Force eliminated Mustafa Ali.
Royal Rumble 2019 took place today as we got to see the women on top of the bracket with some spectacular matches. Even though Becky Lynch ate defeat at the hands of Asuka for the Smackdown Women's Championship, The Man redeemed herself during the Women's Royal Rumble match and stamped her ticket against Ronda Rousey at Wrestlemania 35. Ronda, on the other hand, delivered a classic as she battled The Boss, Sasha Banks for the Raw Women's Championship and retained her title.
But, another show-stealer of the night was Nia Jax, who was the surprise entrant at No. 30 in the Men's Royal Rumble Match. That's right! Nia made history when she became the fourth women wrestler, after Chyna, Beth Pheonix and Kharma, to enter the Men's Royal Rumble Match. After beating the crap out of the original entrant, R Truth, Nia entered the rat race in full force and even eliminated Mustafa Ali. In what was a very exciting sequence of finishers, Nia stopped Randy Orton from delivering an RKO before tricking Rey Mysterio to do the 619, and as she was ready to body slam him, Dolph Ziggler hit her with the superkick.
After receiving the 619 by Rey, Randy sealed the deal with an RKO. The Irresistible Force was ultimately eliminated by Mysterio after a sliding kick did the job.
This was indeed an impressive showing by Nia who represented the powerful women and showed off why they are in the same league as the men.
What a way to bring back the spark of potential intergender matches!
