The 90s was a golden era for the pop music in India. Several singers gave us chartbusters songs which we hum even now after more than two decades. One of the most popular singers during that time was Steven Kapur, popularly known as Apache Indian. He is a British singer-songwriter, who has given us popular hits namely Boom Shack-A-Lak, The Israelites, Make Way For The Indian and others. He has been a recipient of UK Asian Music Awards thrice.

Today, Mika Singh took to his Instagram page and shared a video of paying a tribute to Apache Indian at the BRIT Awards 2019. He posted the video with a caption stating, "Guys when I was 14 years old I used to sing like @apacheindianhq ..I was so happy to get a chance recently on stage where I tried to pay him a small tribute at the @BRITs in London..I think he is the best Reggae singing rapper!‬"

Talking about Mika, the singer was arrested a few weeks back in UAE due to alleged sexual misconduct. He was released following the intervention of the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Navdeep Singh Suri, the Indian Ambassador to the UAE. The envoy said although Mika was arrested in Dubai, the police took him to Abu Dhabi as the complainant was holding an Abu Dhabi residence visa.
