Ranveer Singh gets emotional as Govinda praises his acting prowess and wants him to star in his biopic

Ranveer Singh is riding high on the success of his last film, Padmaavat. The versatile actor has showcased his talent in films like Lootera, Bajirao Mastani and Dil Dhadakne Do. Ranveer Singh’s fan following is soaring and he has received appreciation for his performances by fraternity members, critics as well as the audience. Recently, veteran actor Dharmendra praised Ranveer for his performance in Bajirao Mastani. Amitabh Bachchan also sent Ranveer a hand-written note of appreciation after watching Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat.

Now, Ranveer Singh’s idol and one of his favourite stars Govinda has praised him for his performances. In a recent interview with NDTV, Govinda called Ranveer Singh a superstar in the making and said that if he continues to work hard, he will become the next big thing. He also praised Ranveer for his performances in his recent films. When asked about a biopic being made on him, Govinda said that he would want Ranveer Singh to star in the film, if it is made.

Ranveer Singh could not contain his excitement after hearing Govinda’s comments. He posted a snippet from the interview on his Instagram account and captioned it, “I’m crying!” Well, these are definitely tears of joy for Ranveer.

Ranveer also posted that he will make Govinda proud with his work. “Promise to make you proud, sir”, Ranveer wrote.

Ranveer and Govinda worked together in the 2014 film, Kill Dill which was directed by Shaad Ali and also stars Parineeti Chopra and Ali Zafar. The film did decent business at the box office.
