Ranveer Singh on Deepika Padukone’s reaction to Simmba: She is very proud of me and Rohit Shetty
Today, at the press meet for a brand, Ranveer Singh shared what Deepika Padukone felt after watching Simmba at the special screening yesterday. Take a look.
Some Bollywood films start making the headlines even before they release. This can be said about one of the most awaited films of 2018, Simmba. Starring Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Sonu Sood in the lead, Simmba is the story of a corrupt cop whose mentality changes after an incident takes place with his dear one. The film is directed by Rohit Shetty and is the remake of a Telugu film, Temper.
Yesterday, a special screening was organised by Rohit Shetty for all the family and close friends of the lead stars. Deepika Padukone, wife of Ranveer Singh, also was one of the people who attended the screening with him. Today, when Ranveer Singh was at a press meet for a brand, the media asked him about Deepika’s reaction on seeing the film. At first, Ranveer said that media that was at the gate must have seen her smiling so they can gauge her reaction from that. But, later went on to say that Deepika liked the film and was proud of him and Rohit Shetty. He said, “She is very proud of me and Rohit sir.”

Rohit Shetty went on to add that Deepika has been associated with him since Chennai Express days, and thus, she felt very proud of the film. He said, “We have an association since Chennai Express. She felt very thrilled and happy to watch Simmba as well.” Amidst all this, Sara Ali Khan, Ranveer Singh and Rohit Shetty have been actively promoting the film at various events. Today, a new song Mera Wala Dance from the film came out and is being liked by the audience. Simmba is slated to release on December 28, 2018.
