Priyanka Chopra on mom-to-be Meghan Markle: She's tailor-made for the royal role

Priyanka Chopra and Meghan Markle's friendship blossomed when the two starred in Quantico and Suits, respectively. Since then, the two share a warm equation with PeeCee even attending Meghan's royal wedding to Prince Harry, in May 2018. Recently, it was announced that Meghan and Harry were expecting their first child in the Spring of 2019. During an earlier interaction, Priyanka had said that Meghan's pregnancy has given her the baby fever as well and that she wanted to have a baby ASAP.

In a recent interview with Extra TV, Priyanka was all praises for the Duchess of Sussex and stated that Meghan was tailor-made for the royal family. "I just think she just fits right into the role that she has taken upon herself from the time she got married...How incredible they both are is just a testament of exactly how she's tailor-made for this...I'm just super proud and happy for her," Priyanka said. Now, this is indeed some sweet words by Priyanka for her dear friend.

About Meghan's pregnancy, Priyanka had told People, "I would, as a friend, just say that I'm really excited for her. I think this is a new phase in every woman's life and I hope hers is as amazing as she wants it to be."

Meanwhile, Priyanka and Nick Jonas' wedding has been making headlines for its wedding date. While the dates were said to be in November, it would have clashed with Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone's upcoming nuptials. Hence, Priyanka is reportedly looking at a January 2019 date, instead.

On the work front, Priyanka recently wrapped the London schedule of The Sky is Pink. Directed by Shonali Bose, The Sky is Pink also stars Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim and is based on the real life of Aisha Chaudhary (author of My Little Epiphanies).
