Oye Hichki song: Rani Mukerji gives a message to break all the societal taboos
Rani Mukerji is busy promoting her film Hichki. Today, she launched the song Oye Hichki from the film. This cheerful track focuses on standing up against certain societal taboos.
Rani Mukerji will next be seen in the film Hichki. In the film, she plays the role of Naina Mathur, a teacher who suffers from Tourette syndrome in the film.
This is her comeback film after Adira Chopra's birth. Rani was last seen in the film Mardaani in 2015.
Today, the actor launched the song Oye Hichki from the film. Hichki means hiccups and there are some hiccups in the society that acts as hurdles in the progress of the society.
These hiccups or societal taboos are being followed for a very long time and Rani's song Oye Hichki gives a message to not fall prey to them. In the video, it is shown that nothing should stop you from achieving your dreams, even your broken leg should not stop you from dancing your heart out.
In another instance, it is shown that not only boys but even girls can play football very well and sports is not limited to any gender.
Racial discrimination is a serious issue all over the world and also in India; especially during the marriage. In the video, a girl, who is dark in complexion is forced by her mother to apply the fairness cream on her face before she meets the guy. However, the girl doesn't listen to her mother and embraces her beauty the way it is.
The video also gives a message to keep the surrounding clean and it can be done by contributing to cleanliness individually.
